Sunny days means summer has officially begun! Warm weather brings summer colours, summer art, fresh flowers, fresh fruit and veggies, and fresh air!
Sculpt, paint, and create with us in the studio making new projects filled with celebrations of bright colours, shapes, and nature!
June 21 is the first day of summer—a day to enjoy the sun and explore!
We have created our June workshops to celebrate the joy of getting messy and sculpting. The Playing in the Mud collection is inspired by a love of working with clay and nature! Build with clay in the studio this month and create this beautiful June Bowl or Mushroom-ific Forest Cup!
Recommended time: building 1.5–2 hours + glazing 1-1.5 hours
Sessions required: 2 or more
In this clay workshop, you’ll learn to handbuild a coiled bowl from stoneware clay. You’ll also scratch your very own nature inspired design into the bowl—perfect for summer decor! Book a second session to paint your bowl using underglaze paints and glaze it to make it shiny! We’ll fire it in our kiln then 7 days later it’s yours to take home.
Recommended time: building 1.5–2 hours + glazing 1-1.5 hours
Sessions required: 2 or more
Create your own hand built miniature forest scape using stoneware clay. Make your cup unique by sculpting tiny mushrooms and creating textured moss—like it came right from a forest! After building, book a second session to come back and paint your Forest Cup with brightly coloured underglaze paints. We’ll fire it in our kiln for you to take home 7 days later.
We’ve created our Rainbow Collection to feature projects that celebrate the beauty of love and friendship—in all colours of the rainbow!
Be inspired by colour and create the Bucket of Rainbows sculpture or the Morning Rainbow Mug perfect for coffee and good company.

Then, we will fire it in our kiln for you to pick it up 7 days later!

Best made with the company of a friend. The morning rainbow mug is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or tea!
A squircle is the mix between a square and a circle! Shape and colour are everywhere around us! We’ve created our Texture Collection to show the happiness of bright colours and fun shapes.

In this workshop you’ll sculpt these little characters using stoneware clay. After making your little characters we will dry them and fire them in our kiln to be ready 7 days later. Let them explore your desk, shelves, or outdoor patio gardens.
No, you must book 2 workstations for 3 people under all circumstances.
Please no observers. Every person attending the workshop must be a paid participant.
Once you get in the studio and start creating you will see it is like a time warp! Time flies when you are having fun! As you would expect, it is really hard to know exactly how much time you will need. Every artist is different and often you may want to practice a bit before making your final piece.
But! You don’t have to complete the project in one sitting. In fact, some cannot be completed in one day. Often clay needs to be fired in the kiln before you can glaze (paint) your art. Each project has a recommended booking time and how many visits are required in the description.
Book as many days and times as you like. You have 1 month to finish each project. We will hold the project for up to 30 days from the first time you booked. After this time the step by steps and instructions will no longer be available.
*Projects must be picked up within 2 weeks after the 30 day booking period.
You are welcome to book glaze multiple items at a time. Glazing time is $15/hr. You can glaze more than one piece during your glazing booking, time permitting. Maximum 2 dip glazing pieces per hour of booked studio time in order to cover glazing and kiln costs.
For example, if you book an hour glazing, and can finish glazing 2 pieces from 2 different building or throwing sessions in that hour glazing session—that is great!
Please understand in order to cover professional glaze and second firing costs we are not able to credit or refund unused time if you are able to finish glazing early.
Yes, $17 per piece plus tax if you would like us to glaze your clay for you. This is not available for hand glazed, decorative pieces.
